All staff at Sixteen Plus clearly support the YP’s they house to the best of their ability and genuinely care about their welfare and development. Professional communication is exceptional, and they are always willing to support Risk Management Plans which more often than not put a lot of responsibility on the Sixteen Plus staff. Most supported accommodation providers could certainly learn from the ethics and practices of Sixteen Plus.

I have worked with Sixteen Plus relating to a number of young people with varying needs and levels of risk. In relation to pre-discussion, this has been helpful in setting expectations and core aims for the placement. I have found management very informative, communication is regular and positive and have worked very well with the Local Authority. During placements, we have added meetings such as Child Care reviews to MAPPA 3 meetings, where we have worked together to review support plans and risk assessments in order to ensure a young person’s needs are consistently met, and their input and knowledge has been crucial in the planning and support.

Sixteen plus provides an excellent service and go beyond to ensure that all professionals are always kept informed and have a good insight to how to deal and engage our young people. I would recommend this provider to others to use.

I would like to say that in my experience, Sixteen Plus provide a safe and stable home environment for young people, whom are suffering emotional trauma and where relationships with their families have broken down.  The management team have an understanding of the issues that young people are faced with and are creative in trying to manage this with a focus on achieving positive outcomes.  Management always attends risk management meetings and are always contactable should issues arise.  The communication between the placement and other professionals working with the young people is excellent!

My sincere thanks to the staff who provided support to a young lady over the last few days. Their interactions demonstrated a high level of support, compassion and understanding.
